Project Objective "RedeeM: Resilience to Desertification and Drought in the Mediterranean":

RedeeM brings together 12 partners from 11 countries to address the growing threats of drought, water scarcity, and ecosystem degradation facing rural areas in the Mediterranean, by promoting water resource sustainability and climate change adaptation in the region.

The project places public authorities, research and technical experts, as well as local communities at the centre of the response, enabling them to turn shared water-related vulnerabilities into coordinated management and pilot solutions. RedeeM promotes a framework of practical tools and policy recommendations focused on water management, institutional coordination, and resilience planning within the water-energy-food-ecosystem (WEFE) nexus.
